What is the Man & Woman of the Year challenge?
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada’s Man & Woman of the Year is an intense 10-week philanthropic competition between top leaders in communities across Canada.
Where is this competition taking place?
The challenge takes place in Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, and Halifax.
When is the challenge happening?
The Campaign Kickoff takes place March 24, 2022 to officially mark the beginning of the fundraising period.
A Midpoint Meetup on April 28, 2022 gathers candidates to recognize their progress and rally their efforts for the final stretch.
The Grand Finale takes place June 2, 2022, featuring the much-anticipated announcement of the national Man & Woman of the Year, regional winners in each city, and the All-Star Champion.
How long can candidates fundraise?
Candidates have just 10 weeks to raise funds, beginning on March 24. Winners will be announced at a Grand Finale celebration on June 2.
Who are the Honoured Heroes?
Honoured Heroes are local children who have experienced blood cancers, who help inspire the candidates. Meet the Honoured Heroes here.

How do I know where I stand in the competition?
Man & Woman of the Year is a competitive and SECRET competition. No candidate will know, at any point in the competition, where the other candidates stand in terms of dollars raised. All results are shared at the Grand Finale celebration at the end of the campaign.
